A Note on Assignments

Assignment work aims to make a comprehensive and continuous evaluation of the students. It is a form of “Open Book Examination” system. The main purpose is to assess the “application” related ability of the students with regard to the knowledge and understanding of the specific learning material. Another purpose is to assess the capacity of the students with regard to critical examination related abilities and abilities of logic and reasoning.

It is to be remembered that assignment work does not intend to evaluate the capacity to memorize and ability to store information. It is beyond that.
